Spring cleaning made easy

When the weather warms up and the fresh spring air arrives it has become an annual tradition to take care of some spring cleaning. Often this includes the chance to do the chores we ignore on an everyday basis. But with busy schedules it can seem overwhelming. So here are a few ways to keep it simple while you get the job done.

A good place to start is to create a plan. Knowing ahead of time what you need and want to accomplish will help you achieve those goals. Write down your list and make sure you allow enough time to get them done. Tidy your house first and pick up before you begin to clean. Once you begin, be sure to stick to one room and finish it before moving on to the next. This helps to be more efficient and stay focused. Clean from top to bottom - the floors are best left until the end!

Here are some of the things that are good to include in your spring cleaning:

Clean the windows and wash the curtains

Dust all surfaces in the house

Vacuum upholstery and furniture

In the kitchen clean the oven and clean out the fridge

Wash all walls, cabinets and baseboards

Don’t forget ceiling fixtures and cobwebs on the ceiling

Don’t forget about outside too! Tidy your garage, clean out your car and get your gardens and grounds spring-ready. You can even clean up and put out your outdoor furniture. It’s so exciting to have a clean house and be ready for this lovely new season!
