Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo
November 9, 11 a.m.
Do you like hot sauce? Well this is the expo for you! Spice things up at the Hamilton Convention Centre. Enjoy live cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, as well as free samples of hundreds of hot sauces and condiments. Try all kinds of hot sauces and condiments on wings, baked pitas, vegan chilis or beef patties. Afterward cool down with yummy ice cream and local craft beer. The main stage will offer up entertainment throughout the day. The expo will also offer extreme heat eating competitions including the Guinness World Record breaking attempts for extreme pepper eating and the Eternal Flame hot sauce awards.

We Remember

This Remembrance Day, the Dundurn Historical Site honours the hardworking men and women, past and present, who have worked toward peace. The Hamilton Military Museum will offer a free event presenting a special display. Dundurn Castle was once home to Sir Allan Napier MacNab, railway magnate, lawyer and Premier of the United Canadas (1854-1856). Historic Cooking Workshop: Dough-Re-Me

This family fun event is open to everyone! This event is led by costumed staff preparing treats in the historic kitchen of Sir Allan MacNab’s former home. While your treats are baking you will be led on a tour of Sir Allan MacNab’s beautiful former home all the while learning about Hamilton’s history and the man who shaped it.
